SweetWater’s Next Wave Program
Stage 1
Eight musicians are selected to be a part of our online virtual showcase, your audition videos will be shared on SweetWater’s online platforms. Each of these eight performers will receive a $150 honorarium.
Stage 2
Four performers are selected to perform at and attend the festival. This includes an online meeting with Artistic Director, Edwin Huizinga; a masterclass during the festival, a private lesson during the festival with one of the 2024 SweetWater Music Festival artists, opportunity to immerse yourself behind-the-scenes at the 2024 SweetWater Music Festival (attend events, concerts, meet festival artists, and rehearsals).
Applicant Criteria
Ages 14-22.
Applicants can apply as a solo artist or as a small group up to four people.
Open to instrumentalists and vocalist in any genre.
Students should be at RCM level grade 9 or equivalent.
How to Apply
Apply today! You will need to include a one page maximum PDF recommendation letter from a teacher/instructor and a video clip no longer than twelve minutes (send by a private video link from YouTube). The video clip can be one piece, one movement or multiple pieces as long as it is under twelve minutes.
