Calling all host families! We are seeking billets!

We are seeking billets to share their home with professional musicians during the 2023 SweetWater Music Festival.

So that musicians and our creative team may enjoy a comfortable stay in beautiful Owen Sound and keep close to the variety or venues, the 2023 festival organizers are looking for Owen Sound area residents who are willing to open their homes to guests from September 10-17.

The requirements:
Private or semi-private apartments or houses are highly desired (e.g. granny suite, self-contained bedroom and bathroom, separate entrance, etc.), or a private bedroom in a homeowner’s home with access to a bathroom, shared cooking and living space. Walking distance to downtown Owen Sound is preferred, but further locations with parking spaces are needed as well. Internet access is appreciated. Bonus if there is laundry.

Artists travel from all over the world to work with us. These professional artists will be busy at the rehearsals and performances for most of their time in Owen Sound and are simply looking for a clean, safe, and welcoming home to sleep at night. They may need some room in the fridge, but are not expecting maid service! They provide their own food, are expected to clean up after themselves and respect the Host.

To ensure a successful and pleasant experience for both host and billet, we will be pleased to visit your home and answer any questions you may have.
